v17.6.4

Release Date: Aug 22, 2017

IronKey ™ EMS Cloud Release Notes for v17.6.4

WHAT’S NEW in version 17.6.4:

1. Add device policy option to only allow admin users to view password recovery codes for Sentry EMS and D300M devices via the admin console. Sentry EMS and D300M device users with this policy option enabled will not require an online account, skipping this step during activation. These users will not be able to view the recovery code directly, it must be provided by an administrator. When initiating password help, no email will be sent- the device will be treated as if it does not have an online account.

2. Minor bug fixes and stability improvements

KNOWN ISSUES:

  • Add policy: 'Only allow admins to view recovery code' checkbox and custom message field do not reset to default values if policy type is changed to user policy, then back to device policy.
Workaround: manually reset these fields if so desired.

  • On D300M or Sentry EMS devices that are using older software versions (before v5.6 for D300M or v5.5 for Sentry EMS), activating the device without an online account (including when “Only allow admins to view recovery code” is enabled) and later updating the device policy to enable online account does not prompt the user to create an online account.
    Workaround: Update the device software.

  • If the policy is updated on D300M or Sentry devices with the 'Only allow admins to view recovery code' checkbox enabled, the device will not immediately be able to use password help.
Workaround: unlock the device once after the policy update to sync the recovery code.

v17.4.4

Release Date: May 2, 2017

Improvements

  • Deviceless account upgrade. For accounts created before September 2016, your account will now support device-less administrators. If you have not already done so, upon creating a device-less user you will be prompted to create the Default User Policy. Deviceless administrators do not need a physical IronKey device to manage the account.

  • Approve legacy device admins from the user profile. Previously, approval of S100/X200 admins could only be performed from an existing S100/X200 admin device. This meant that any accounts created without the first admin as an S100/X200 could not approve any S100/X200 user for admin access. Now, any existing system admin can approve S100/X200 users as admins by going to the user profile and clicking ‘Approve Admin.’

  • Minor bug fixes and stability improvements

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Firefox Browser: On the https://my.ironkey.com page ‘Reset Your Password’ link might not be responsive on the first click. Workaround: Click on the link for the second time.

  • Text entered within angular brackets is not saved in the ‘Comments’ section on the User Profile page. Workaround: Remove angular brackets.

  • If a ‘Group’ name contains parentheses, the browser might stop responding when the Group is being deleted. Workaround: Do not enter parentheses into the Group name.

v17.3.5

Release Date: April 4, 2017

Deviceless administrators do not need a physical IronKey device to manage the account.

  • Receive an alert if available device seats is below a threshold. This setting can be found under the Account Alerts section, My Account tab. When enabled, if a device is activated and the remaining device license count is below the specified number, the administrator will be alerted.
